I really like the Dominican approach of prayer, contemplation, and study as a foundation for preaching the gospel. Also, my patron saint, Thomas Aquinas, is a Dominican. Finally, as I’ve read about St. Dominic, I’m attracted to his humble zeal for Christ. I’ve got a contact for a Lay Dominican Fraternity in Irving, which is not too far from where I live. Right now, I’m giving priority to my involvement in my CRHP (Christ Renews His Parish) group until we put on our renewal weekend at the end of March. Until then, I’ll look more at the Dominicans as I have time, and I may pursue joining them in the Spring.
